Humans of Meribel - Siobain

Returning back to the 'Humans of Méribel' blog series, I'd like to introduce you to Siobain. As a ski instructor, I'm lucky to meet people every day, and get to spend some time with them in an incredible environment. A few weeks ago I spent a weekend teaching and guiding Siobain, along with her friends Helen, Veronica and Nicola. Here is Siobain's (from London) short story, written down whilst having a relaxing coffee.

"Ten years ago I bought an acre of land in South Africa and built a beach house. It's my little slice of paradise near Cape Town, overlooking a mountain range, and where I escape the wet English winters. However, my friend has encouraged me back to skiing after a break of many years. I had forgotten just how good it feels to be back on skis, not that my shins appreciate it today however. My new favourite piste is Pelozet, whichs directs you down towards the picturesque village of St.Martin de Belleville. I haven't been to Les Trois Vallées for over ten years, and I can't wait to reintroduce my family to skiing again so we can visit our old haunts which have been chichi'd up."
