Priceless Mountains

Posted on
September 22, 2011

The Summer has continued at a frantic pace since the last post. Several more Weddings and loads of motivated learner drivers has kept yours truly very busy, to the point of not having a day off work for many weeks. So when a mid week wedding shoot took place up in Yorkshire, my wife Harriet seized the opportunity of whisking me away from work after the wedding and insisted on us having a long weekend together in The Lake District. Who was I to argue? The Cumbrian weather was as you expect, two days of wild stormy weather, but one amazing sunny day…

We stayed in the tiny hamlet of Buttermere, sandwiched in between the two Lakes of Buttermere and Crummock Water. What a tonic? Complete wild exposure to the mountains again, surrounded by stunning landscapes with a few mighty hikes thrown in for good measure. Priceless.

At the end of my last post I mentioned a new exciting project that is winter related. So without further ado, please welcome my new Ski Instructing website http://www.mh2ski.co.uk/ . After much thought and discussion with colleagues during last winter pondering the effects of the global recession, I decided to team up with a good friend and colleague of mine, Michael Harrison.

Mike and I have been friends for many years, we both work under the umbrella of the Méribel ESF, and share many values and thoughts on providing top quality Ski Instruction. So it seemed a natural progression to team up together and pool our resources in advertising and offering our Instructing services. The mh2ski website (both of our initials if you were thinking why the strange name!) will take over from my Aspire To Ski website. But don’t worry blog fans, I shall continue to post on this blog as regular and passionate as ever which can also be accessed via a link from mh2ski.

I hope you all like the new website, any feedback welcome of course. A massive thank you goes out to the Jones family for their help and encouragement with the website, in particular to Robbie who put our dream into reality.

Back to the post processing of weddings for me now though. Have you noticed that the days are getting shorter? You know what that means don’t you?
